Building on Our Commitment to
Diversity and Inclusion

Our Diversity and Inclusion strategy includes a roadmap to move us toward our vision to be an inclusive workplace with a diverse workforce that mirrors the communities we serve. In 2015, we continued to apply a Diversity and Inclusion lens to all of our work. Our managers received diversity and inclusion training as part of our leadership development program. Highlights in 2015 include ACU's participation in the inaugural Take Your MLA to Work Day as part of Disability Employment Awareness Month in Manitoba and participation in the core group of Manitoba Employment Equity Practitioners and attendance at their seminar on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Two-Spirited (LGBTT) people in the workplace.

We continue to use our workplace census to ensure we have an accurate profile of our current workforce to allow us to measure our progress in the future. In 2015, our employee population included 8% Aboriginal people, 25% people of Colour and 7% people with Disabilities.
